All of our wines are crafted with an attention to detail that allows us to impart a minimum level of intervention in the winery. Our grower partners all practice Biodynamic, Organic and/or Sustainable methods in the vineyard. We take what the vineyard and vintage give us and allow nature to do its thing.
Oregon's finest Syrah comes from Applegate Valley, and this expression from Mae's Vineyard, co-fermented with 15% Viognier, shows exactly why these sites are making a splash in the domestic scene.
The wine is 100% Pinot Meunier from Left Coast Vineyards in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA and Twelve Oaks Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. It was 1/3 whole cluster, and aged in 25% new French oak. Intensely pretty, with bright strawberry and rose aromas leaping from the glass, and tart cherry and flint-like stone on the palate. A perfect red wine for summer drinking.
